Dr. Jennifer Cordero, Medical Director

Dr. Jennifer Cordero, Medical Director

Dr. Cordero started as a veterinary technician at Whippany Vet in 2006. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree at Delaware Valley College, she then pursued her dream to become a veterinarian. Dr. Cordero attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and finished her clinical year at Oklahoma State University. After graduating in 2010, she moved back to New Jersey and returned to Whippany Vet to start her career as a veterinarian. Her special interests include: soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, and is currently becoming certified in canine rehabilitation.

Dr. Cheri Smith

Dr. Cheri Smith

Dr. Smith has owned and operated Whippany Veterinary Hospital since July 1998. She is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the NJVMA, the AVMA, AAHA, SAVM, the American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the American Veterinary Dental Society. She attends regular continuing education seminars to keep abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Her three shih tzus, “Carmelita”, “Caleb”, and “Luciano”, travel with her to work every day and are her pride and joy.

Due to her special interest in veterinary dentistry, she has completed extensive continuing education in advanced dentistry. Dr. Smith’s desire is to relieve pets’ disease and pain that often go unnoticed by the untrained eye. She focuses on preventive care and the many options available today for pain control in pets.

Dr. Christina Enoch

Dr. Christina Enoch

Dr. Enoch grew up in Parsippany, New Jersey. She earned her Bachelors of Science from Rutgers University in 2016, followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 2022. Following graduation, she returned home to begin her veterinary career. She is very excited to be part of the WVH team and pursue her passion for medicine and animal welfare. Dr. Enoch’s special interests include dentistry, ophthalmology, spay/neuter, and preventive care.

In her free time, Dr. Enoch enjoys reading, listening to music, baking, traveling, and playing video games. She currently has no pets of her own, but hopes to one day be the proud owner of a few cats, a Corgi,
and a Golden Retriever.

Jessica, Practice Manager

Jessica, Practice Manager

Jessica is a local Morris County native and an avid animal lover. Having raised both cats and dogs, she is an ardent advocate for animal welfare. Most near and dear to her heart, Jessica is a long time supporter of retired greyhound rescue in addition to local animal shelters. When she isn’t busy at Whippany Vet she can be found at home relaxing with a good book.

Rebecca joined our team in August 2020. She brings with her a background in customer service and is currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in business marketing and management. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys photography and spending time with her family and two cats, Magic and Couscous.

Alexander was brought onboard the Whippany Vet Team in September of 2021. He graduated with an Associate’s in Veterinary Technology and became a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) shortly after. Alex intends on continuing his education, and possibly becoming a veterinarian in the future. Alex has had experience in both emergency hospitals and non-profit organizations. When he isn’t spending time with patients at work, he’s with his own lab mix, named Guiseppe!

Leanne joined our team in April 2021. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies with a concentration in teaching. Leanne went on to graduate from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in June of 2019 where she received her CVT (certified veterinary technician). She has always had a passion and enjoyment for working with different kinds of animals. During her free time, Leanne enjoys hanging out with her golden retriever, Teagan, reading, writing, and working out.

Sue, Senior Surgical Technician (CVT)

Sue has been working in the veterinary industry for over 25 years. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and is our Senior Surgical Technician responsible for our surgery and dental programs. She regularly attends continuing education courses on anesthesia, pain control, advanced dentistry and laser therapy. Sue’s favorite activities include Alpine Mountain climbing and hanging out with her bunny, Ricochet!

Shenika has been a veterinary technician at Whippany Vet since July 2000. Prior to her joining the team, she worked for another small animal practice for 3 years. Shenika obtained a Master of Science in Health Systems Management from NJIT, but her passion for animals inspired her to remain in the veterinary field. Shenika spends most days assisting clients and doctors during appointments, as well as assisting our surgical team with procedures. Additionally, she specializes in client education, supervises our in-house laboratory, and uses her expertise to oversee our staff training program. Her special interests include puppy and kitten care and animal behavior. In her spare time, Shenika enjoys home repair and reading.
